Hello and welcome to the Tales of Larkin web site. I want to apologize to all of you who have repeatedly checked on the site. There has been so much happening that I have had no time to add updates. It’s still going to be a few more weeks before I will have time to make regular comments. I thought I would take a moment to let my fans know where we are in the process of making all of the books available. Before I do that let me say to all of you first timers that I’m so glad you found us! I’d also like to welcome all of you who just happened wind up here! And since you’re here, you might as well look around and find out what Tales of Larkin is all about.
I am a veterinarian and a homeschooling father of six. I wrote my first book, Hawthorn’s Discovery, for my children. I saw it as a way to create some family bonding and as an opportunity to teach my children some spiritual lessons, and to promote godly character in them. My family loved the book so much they wanted me to write more.
I currently have three books completed in the Tales of Larkin series, the fourth book, titled Tales of Larkin: Mosstar and Belladonna is being edited and I am almost finished with the fifth book, which I have titled: Tales of Larkin: Fiery Trials. I don’t know how many other people enjoy these stories but I have really had a lot of fun writing them! As long as my family and I enjoy the stories it’s worth the effort. I will have to admit, though, that I do appreciate hearing from those of you who have read them.
Now I have some exciting news. Because our family was so blessed by my reading the stories to my children and then asking them questions about important spiritual and character lessons in the stories, I have decided to put an appendix in the back of each book with suggested questions for parents and teachers to ask to their children or students. This should all be completed soon. As each book is finished they will be uploaded to Amazon. I will also be making the audio books and the e-book versions available again at that time. I’m really excited about using the books to teach character and spiritual lessons and I have a lot more to say about that. So stay tuned for more exciting developments.
Thanks for visiting! Please feel free to drop me a line. I would love to hear your comments or answer any questions you might have.
Blessings in Christ,
-Dr. Alan W. Harris
